How to Update the Schedule of Classes: Enrollment Capacity and Permission Requirements
The following things can restrict enrollment in class:
- Enrollment Capacity - A number can be entered that determines how many students can enroll into a class
- Permission - A class can be set so that only students who have permission can enroll
1. In Maintain Schedule of Classes, click on the Enrollment Control tab
2. Review/Update information in the following fields:
Add Consent
If a student needs special permission to enroll in the class, select 'Department Consent Required' or 'Instructor Consent Required'
Reference Assigning Class Permissions for instructions on how to assign permission to a student
The only difference between 'Department Consent Required' and 'Instructor Consent Required' is the text that the student can see when they attempt to register for the class
Drop Consent
If a student must request permission to drop after they enroll, select 'Department Consent Required' or 'Instructor Consent Required'
Enrollment Capacity
This number represents the total number of students who will be able to enroll into the class. Check/Update this number if necessary.
