Assigning Class Permissions
Navigate to My Student Center
See How to Log into My Student Center for instructions on how to find My Student Center, or use this direct link: https://cs.uthscsa.edu/
If you have access to the Faculty Center tile, the navigation to Class Permissions can be found there. If not, use the navigation shown below.
Access the "NavBar" by clicking on the navigator icon found in the upper right hand corner.
Click on the Menu
Navigate to Records and Enrollment > Term Processing > Class Permissions > Class Permissions
Enter the desired term. You can use the magnifying glass to the right of the field to search if you don't know the term code. Next enter the Subject (ie. MEDI, SURG, etc). Then click Search.
Within your class panel, note that you may have several different classes for one course number. Be sure to navigate to the correct section before you give permission. You can navigate by using the arrows in the Class Section Data area, or View All.
When you have selected the correct section, enter the students ID number (or use the magnifying glass to find the ID). To add additional students, use the + sign to add additional rows. Remember to Save when you are finished.
The Status field on this panel will show you if the student has used the permission yet.
Do not try to use this panel as your "class roster". A student may enroll in the class, and the status will be "used", then subsequently drop the class. You must check your class roster in the Faculty Center to keep up with actual enrollment.
